Hello and welcome! My name is Jessica Johnson-Hewitt, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I founded S.T.A.R.S. Psychological Treatment Center in April 2025, after earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in crisis and trauma, from Walden University.

My personal experiences overcoming sexual trauma inspired me to pursue this career path. Reframing my own story and using both my personal and professional experiences to support others fuels my passion for mental health and sexual trauma advocacy. My goal is to partner with you in your journey to find balance after your trauma. break down barriers, improve your quality of life, and work toward a state of mental wellness.

Here at S.T.A.R.S., I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. My counseling approach integrates person-centered therapy with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), always maintaining a trauma-informed perspective. I believe you are the expert on your life, and together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan. Through this process, you’ll gain the tools, skills, and strategies to navigate life confidently and with resilience. Let’s work together to help you achieve your goals and build the fulfilling life you deserve.
